TAHDIR: Promoting Constructive Leadership and Civil Society in Post-Conflict Syria

Background

TAHDIR project is put into action at the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) under its mandate to promote a culture of peace, democracy and civil society in Jordan and the MENA. It is funded and carried out in cooperation with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the European Union (EU).

 

Aims/Objectives

It aims to provide the Syrian civil society the capacity of being future leaders in the sectors that will play the most important roles in the future of post-conflict Syria.  Therefore, the projectís main objective is to prepare young Syrian activists of the civil society to deal properly with the transition period, in order to reach a fully- fledged democratic state.

 

Outputs/Activities

TAHDIR main outputs are various groups of training workshops/courses that will be implemented during the two projectís years. These activities would cover three topics: post-conflict situations and the stabilization of peace, democratic transition and strengthening democracy.

Upcoming Training Workshops

The first group of the first training workshop will be around the beginning of October 2016.
